This is the Lexus electric crossover.
We are seeing the Lexus RZ450e for the first time amid the Lexus EV news and Toyota. This is part of the brand’s new push into electric vehicles.
The RZ 450e’s front features a fresh take on the Lexus spindle grille. Instead of being completely open, there’s an inlet in its lower section and vertical openings at each end. Each side has sharp-edged headlights. The nose has an angular appearance due to the heavily creased hood.
The roof has a floating design and is heavily arched. The charging port is located between the door and the fender at the front of the vehicle’s wheel wells.
On each side of your roof, you will find a pair small spoilers at the rear. The rear glass is steeply angled and the hatch has full-width taillights. The bumper’s outlets are angled to evoke the inlets at the front corners.
The RZ450e shares the Toyota bZ4X , Subaru Solterra. Although the footprint is similar, the Lexus has a different design like a more pointed nose
It is unknown what the powertrain of the RZ 450e looks like. The Solterra and bZ4X have a combined 215 horsepower (160kW) each from an electric motor that powers each axle. Toyota does not have an estimated range for the all-wheel-drive model bZ4X. However, the Solterra can travel 220 miles (354 km) using its 71.4-kilowatt hour battery.
The interior of the RZ 450e is still unknown. This platform’s Toyota and Subaru models share the same layout for their center stack. The screens have large infotainment screens with separate digital displays for the HVAC system. There are buttons and a dial for controlling different functions of the drivetrain.
We expect Lexus to have a more luxurious interior due to its premium position.
The RZ 450e will make its full debut in 2022.
