Lightning McQueen R/C Can Be Controlled With A Smartphone

For $300, you can get this hyper-realistic toy.

We’re not talking Fast and Furious. Instead, we are excited for Pixar’s Cars 3 debut, which will be in theaters June 16. Many trailers and teasers suggest that the movie franchise is on the right track after the disappointing second installment. Sphero, remote control car makers, has introduced a hyper-realistic Lightning McQueen which can be controlled using your smartphone.

The “Ultimate Lightning McQueen” R/C car is a perfect representation of the character. It features a red and yellow Rusteze livery, animatronic eyes, mouth and mouth, as well as a suspension system that adjusts to the character’s movements.

McQueen is aided by a 320×120 LCD screen, which acts as his “eyes.” The top speed of the toy is six miles an hour. It can travel 30 feet and lasts 40 minutes on one charge.
