Sphero, remote control car makers, has introduced a hyper-realistic Lightning McQueen which can be controlled using your smartphone.
The “Ultimate Lightning McQueen” R/C car is a perfect representation of the character. It features a red and yellow Rusteze livery, animatronic eyes, mouth and mouth, as well as a suspension system that adjusts to the character’s movements.
McQueen can be controlled by an Android or iOS companion app. This allows the user to play mobile games and assists in virtual pit stops. All this is done over Bluetooth. You can touch the toy on the roof, doors, windows, or rear window. It also has over 300 phrases and automatic headlights that adjust according to the situation.
It sounds complicated if it does. The company took 17 months to build the toy, which is comprised of more than 450 parts. The verge said that the project took over 450 hours. McQueen is aided by a 320×120 LCD screen, which acts as his “eyes.” The top speed of the toy is six miles an hour. It can travel 30 feet and lasts 40 minutes on one charge.
Sphero’s Ultimate Lightning McQueen is $300, but it will go on sale in the summer. Sphero also offers a realistic BB-8 robot in Star Wars at half the price.
