Lincoln Star Concept Introduced as "Sanctuary", That Predicts Future Models
The electric SUV features see-through panels, scented mood setting, light-up badges and lots more tech.

The Lincoln Star Concept isn’t too dissimilar to the current luxury brand offerings. The concept is an evolution from Lincoln’s Quiet Flight design, which is used on vehicles such as the Corsair. Its purpose is to show off future electric vehicles from Lincoln. Three of them are expected before 2025. It also aims to create a sanctuary for passengers by using sight, sound and smell. The Star Concept provides more than just windows. It also has door panels and interior lighting. The A-pillars have metal latticework which makes them transparent, and the D-pillars are the same. The front trunk floor extends into the first row, while the hood is made of electro-chromatic glasses that let light in while driving and tints when parked to hide what’s inside. Star Concept is a combination of a large glass roof, front seats that can rotate to face the rear, and a flat ground. It creates a spacious space for passengers.
Lincoln states that there are three distinct “rejuvenation emotions” that add to the experience. These moods reflect the natural daily rhythm of human life: morning, afternoon, and evening. Here is where sight, sound and smell sensations are most important.

Costal Morning This fragrance is a combination of warm light and oceanic sounds. It has a scent that smells like sea mist. Mindful Vitality The afternoon setting is designed to help you get through the heart of your day. It features upbeat sounds and flowery scents as well as a glowing, natural light. The final mood is Evening chill This scent is a combination of an evergreen aroma and a nighttime soundtrack. It is possible that the video will play on one of the Star Concept’s many display screens. There are two screens for the rear-seat passengers, who also have a drink chiller between the reclined lounge chairs. The single screen in the front spans the entire width of the cabin. The dash has a small secondary screen embedded in the middle, and a complete set of controls on the left. Lincoln does not specify an automated driving feature level, but the Star Concept promises a lot of technology with the next generation Lincoln Intelligence System. This tech suite includes V2V communications and driver assistance.

Joy Falotico, Lincoln President, stated that “Lincoln enters the next chapter of our transition to a no-emissions future. The Lincoln Star Concept will lead our portfolio fully electric vehicles.” It is a great example of how luxury can be redefined for the next generation. We are working to transform the vehicle into an additional space, a true sanctuary, for our clients. Lincoln does not provide details about the Star Concept’s power and range. It is also unclear how much will be made. Its electric architecture can be scaled for all-wheel-drive or rear-wheel applications. Therefore, it is not unreasonable to expect that Star Concept will have a lot of influence on the list of Lincoln EVs in the future.
