This special delivery includes track time for 90 minutes and a delicious lunch at Restaurant 917
Many automakers offer a special delivery service for high-performance or high-end models. Porsche will provide such an experience for all models, starting at the entry-level Macan SUV and moving up to the new Porsche GT3 RS. Porsche’s New Vehicle Delivery program offers buyers VIP treatment. This service is available at the Porsche Experience Center Los Angeles.
What does the new vehicle delivery look like? It is described by Porsche as an immersive experience. The process begins with an in-depth vehicle orientation that is conducted one-on-1 with a specialist. Porsche will take new owners out on a race track for a 90 minute session, which includes eight levels of driver instruction. Rather than subject new cars to such a workout, however, the training is done in manufacturer-provided rides that match the delivery vehicle.
If everything goes smoothly – and buyers don’t get nauseated from racing around a track – the event ends with a delicious lunch for the new owner and guests at Restaurant 917. The restaurant is named after the Porsche race car and is located in the company’s L.A. Experience Center.
Concerning the L.A. The Experience Center reported that the first Porsche delivery, a 911 TurboS, was already made on February 20. It could be very busy, considering that Porsche estimates that 25 percent of its U.S. sales is in California.
