Lotus Lets Loose another Limited Edition Exige, The Cup Type 430 Type 25

Only 25 units will be made, each with 430 horsepower.

Lotus keeps releasing special editions. Exige Cup 430 Type 25 collector’s edition is the latest. It pays homage the single-seat Lotus racecar with the same name and has a number unique features that make it stand out among the other special edition Lotus cars.

The body can be finished in any color, as long as it is Lotus Racing Green or Old English White. These renderings show the former, with a few yellow-and-black accents on the roof, roof and fascia. The owner can also customize the vehicle to his or her liking. You can have the interior with the same custom detailing in a variety of colors and materials, such as leather or Alcantara.

The Exige’s underhood is powered by a 3.5-liter supercharged, supercharged V6 that produces 430 horsepower (325 kilowatts), and 440 Newton-meters (596 nms) of torque. It is paired with an open-gate, six-speed manual transmission. Lotus claims that the Cup 430 Type 25 can sprint from 0-60 mph (96 km/h) in 3.2 seconds. It can also reach speeds of 180 mph (290 km/h).

The body’s aerodynamic cues, which include a carbon fiber splitter and massive rear wings, allow it to generate as much as 485 pounds (220 kg) of downforce. This makes it equally formidable on the straights as it is in corners. The Lotus raced the Hethel circuit over 2.2 miles in 1 minute 24.8 seconds.

As the name implies, only 25 Exiges will be made. Each Exige is hand-built at the marque’s Norfolk manufacturing facility.
