BMW M3 Cabrio (E92), transformed into a Manhart Manhart MH3 R Biturbo with an E6 M engine for Essen Motor Show 2012.
For the 2012 Essen Motor Show, a BMW M3 Cabrio (E92), has been converted into a Manhart MH3 R Biturbo with X6 M engines by Manhart MH3V8 R Biturbo.
We showed you Manhart’s modified BMW earlier this week and now we take a closer look at their tuning plan for the M3 Cabrio. Under the hood, the car has the V8 4.4-liter twin turbo engine of the X6 M equipped. It also features a carbon fiber cover. Software optimization has allowed the engine to produce 655 horsepower (488 KW) & 719 lbft (955 Nm), respectively.
This modified M3 Cabrio can achieve a top speed exceeding 199 mph (320 km/h) by removing the electronic speed limiter. The Akrapovic Evolution Titanium exhaust system was also installed with a sports catalytic convert and four 90mm tailpipes. The brakes are X6 M-sourced and measure 396mm in diameter. They also have 374mm discs at each end with four-piston discs.
The X6M also has a six-speed automatic transmission with a differential lock for better traction. The front 9×20 wheels are covered with 305/25ZR20 and the rear 12×20 aluminum alloys have 255/35ZR20 high-performance tires. The M3 Cabrio was also modified by KW and received an MHR suspension system with in-house adjustments.
