BMW will only build 500 of them.
Some buyers may want to match their new BMW M5 after placing an order. The German automaker is happy that they can provide them with the BMW M Bike Limited carbon Edition. The bike is available in Marina Bay Blue Metallic, just like the company’s new sport sedan.
BMW will only produce 500 M Bike Limited Carbon Editions. They’ll retail for 1,400 Euros ($1,674 at current exchange rate). The frames are made of aluminum hydro-formed. To save weight, the frame is made of aluminum. The fork, spacers, and seat posts are made from carbon fiber. The bike can be slowed down by a set of Shimano hydraulic disk brakes.
The new M5 comes with a BMW 4.4-liter biturbo that produces 600 horsepower (480 kilowatts), and 553 poundfeet (751 Newton-meters), respectively to 575 hp (428kW) and 500lb-ft (677Nm) from the previous tune. All-wheel drive can now route the output to the rear wheels, if desired. This latest generation can travel at 62 miles an hour (100 km per hour) in just 3.4 seconds. However, deliveries won’t start until spring 2018. BMW has not yet released pricing information for the M5 in America, but it will begin selling the sedan in Europe at EUR117,000.
Patients who want the M5’s ultimate performance should wait until 2018 to get the Competition Package. Andy Cook, BMW’s product manager for large cars, said that the Competition Package would bring tweaked dynamics and standard ceramic brakes (which are an option on the standard model car at $10,000). Victoria Parrott is Road Test Editor at UK. Upgrades might include a stiffer suspension or a slightly lighter car.
