The new GranCabrio, which is essentially a convertible version the luxurious GranTurismo coupe and the first four-seat convertible Maserati has ever made, is essentially a Maserati model.
Maserati has released their first images of the highly anticipated GranCabrio.
The new GranCabrio is essentially a four-seat convertible of the GranTurismo coupe. While the beautiful Pininfarina styling is preserved, the new canvas roof allows for open-air enjoyment. Maserati says that the GranCabrio enhances all five senses through an open-air shared experience. It does this without sacrificing comfort or performance.
GranCabrio has the longest wheelbase available on the market. This should allow for plenty of legroom. Official specifications are still being finalized, but Maserati states that rear passengers are more than just supporting actors. They are the stars of the journey.
Only one engine has been confirmed is the 323kW (440 bhp), 4.7-liter V8 of the GranTurismoS. However, an entry-level 4.2L V8 with 405 bhp may be available in the future.
Officially unveiled at Frankfurt Motor Show will be the Maserati GranCabrio. Sales will begin in spring 2010.
