A formal announcement will not be made until spring.
We don’t think you would be wrong if these Maserati Grecale interior spy pictures were intentionally set up. We’ve been able to see the interior of the SUV before. In fact, we have recently seen a test vehicle with bold red seats as well as door panels. But here’s the best part: In a previous photo (below left), the dash was hidden. But this time, it is the exact opposite. Although the seats and doors have been covered in a new photograph (below left), the dash is visible in full view, with nothing in the way. We’ve seen the Grecale greenhouse from both the old photos and the new ones. It’s impossible to miss the central touchscreen. We were surprised last year to see a partially covered prototype. One piece of glass covers two areas of touchscreen functionality with a strip of controls at the middle. Both screens have many functions. However, smudgy fingerprints indicate that the lower screen is responsible for climate control systems and the upper screen for navigation.
The driver is seated behind the wheel on a second screen. However, this is the only digital interface. The Grecale’s sporty feel is reinforced by the prominent paddle shifters on the steering wheel and the padded seats. The Grecale is a compact crossover competitor to the BMW X3 or Porsche Macan. It will be mild in the beginning with models starting at four-cylinder power. However, the Grecale Trofeo makes it wild. Maserati has already confirmed that the performance model will be available and could borrow the twin-turbocharged 621-horsepower (463 kilowatts) V6 from the MC20. We still have some time to wait. The global shortage of semiconductors forced the Italian brand Grecale to postpone its debut until spring 2022.
