Maserati Grecale will Debut Sometime in November

It will be below the Levante in Maserati’s lineup.

The merger of FCA-PSA earlier this year gave Maserati an owner. However, the company’s work continued unabated. This included the development of the Grecale SUV. Maserati announced the model for Spring 2021 in September. Maserati failed to meet the deadline, thanks to COVID, and today announced that its new SUV would debut sometime in November.

Maserati did not provide any details about the unveiling date or time, but we are expecting them to be closer. The Grecale will be Maserati’s second SUV. It joins the larger Levante, which was introduced in 2017 to complement the existing high-riding models. The two SUVs share the same underpinnings but will have a distinct style.

Maserati Grecale will Debut Sometime in November

The Grecale is a sleek looking crossover that has a sharp nose and curvy rear-fender styling. The larger Levante’s design will be reworked for the Grecale. The new SUV will have an oval grille with Maserati’s trident badge in the center. Although we haven’t seen much from the rear, we don’t anticipate any design surprises. A small roof spoiler was seen on the crossover, which is attached to the hatch and quad exhaust pipes.

Although it is not clear what Maserati will power the SUV, we believe there will be two options. The 2.0-liter mild hybrid powertrain will be the standard, while the optional twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 of the Maserati MC20 is available. It produces 621 horsepower (463 Kilowatts) in the supercar and 538 pound feet (729 Newton-meters), and could be de-tuned to the Grecale. We expect to see more information about the Grecale as Maserati counts down to its debut later in the year.
