Mate Rimac’s 1984 BMW 3-Series electric BMW 3-Series (E30), has broken five world records in EVs.

As we’re dealing with an electric vehicle, there is more to this BMW 3-Series E30 E30 from 1984 than the paintwork. This car was built after Rimac Automobili’s CEO, Mate Rimac, aged 19 at the time, accidentally blew up the engine during a race. Mate Rimac, who was then 19 years old at the time, decided to make it an electric vehicle and has since created five versions of this classic BMW.

These photos and videos show a car that produces 600 horsepower (447 kW) or 663 lb/ft (900 Nm). This is enough to sprint from 0-60 mph in 3.3 seconds, and reach a top speed at 174 mph (280 km/h).
