Mazda unveiled the eagerly awaited RX-VISION concept at Tokyo Motor Show.
The Mazda Concept is described as a “vision for the future Mazda hopes to one-day make a reality”, and it features a stylish KODO design.
Mazda had little to say, but the car has a striking front fascia that features a prominent grille as well as a spoiler at the front. It also features a large alloy wheel, ventilated hood, and a rakish windscreen. A dual exhaust system, rear diffuser, and front fender vents are some other highlights.
It is simple and straightforward, featuring a minimalist interior with a leather-wrapped dashboard. Carbon fiber trim is also featured in the cabin, as well as alloy pedals.
The all-new SKYACTIV R rotary engine provides power. Mazda has not yet released any details, but they say they have “never stopped researching and developing the rotary engine” and that the SKYACTIV R expresses their “determination to face challenges with the latest technology and convention-defying aspirations.”
Masamichi Kogai, Mazda CEO, stated that he was looking forward to speaking with him more about the Mazda stand’s vision. He said that Mazda would continue to face new challenges to create a special relationship with its customers and be their “one and only” brand.
