Each car is named after a race track and the fastest corner speed of a 720S
McLarenhas an extensive racing history, which dates back to long before production cars were made. To honor that legacy, McLaren is offering a special group of aesthetically-enhanced 720S supercars named the MSO Apex Collection. Each McLaren car will pay homage to one the five European race tracks where McLaren has had racing success. Only 15 cars are being built. Buyers who buy one of these special edition cars will receive a Formula 1 paddock ticket and a Pirelli Hot Laps pass.
Special carbon fiber sills are included in the doorjambs. Each sill has the name of a track and the speed of its fastest corner. This is not a generic number. It is the speed that a McLaren professional driver achieved in a McLaren 720S at the corner’s edge. The Apex collection. Each car is identified by special interior badges with production numbers.
What race tracks are included? Three cars will be built to race at Silverstone, UK. They can reach speeds of up to 110 mph in cornering. Three cars will be dedicated to Germany’s Hockenheimring, with an 85-mph corner speed. Three additional cars are dedicated to Circuit Paul Ricard, France, and have a speed of 104 mph. Three additional cars are dedicated to Spa, Belgium, with a corner speed of 103 mph. Three cars are also available for Monza, Italy with a corner speed of 90 mph.
Every 720S comes with the Track Pack. These cars are only available in Europe, as they feature European race tracks. Prices start at PS288,813, with first deliveries expected in October.
