McLaren F1 Rendering Dares To Modernize A Legend

For the year 2021, F1 has been reinvented.

McLaren F1 is not to be touched. Not even McLaren, who made five Senna examples in the same orange color as its iconic supercar. Although the original designer of F1 was Gordon Murray, has just unveiled his redesigned version. It’s still a brand new car, not a modified one.

It’s hard to say if it’s good or bad, but at least someone is trying to redesign F1. It’s The Sketch Monkey, an artist who loves to share his work via YouTube. This is the first of many projects we’ve seen from him. But, is this not a step too far? Let’s see.

This is a relatively simple goal: build an F1 car for 2021 that combines the proportions and design elements of the original model with the modern McLaren supercars. Although you might think that the Gordon Murray T.50 was exactly the same, The Sketch Monkey says that the T.50 is more “tame”, which is fine since it is a completely new car.

McLaren’s three current models were the 720S Speedtail and Speedtail. The inspiration for the designer came from these models. These three cars have distinctive lines and unique design elements. To see the changes The Sketch Monkey has made to the F1 in 2021, you don’t need to be a car expert.

It looks great and definitely reminds us of a 2021 McLaren product. It is worthy to succeed F1’s successor. Please let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
