Mclaren P1 GT By Lanzante Revealed At Goodwood, Looks Sensational

Lanzante makes a longtail P1 GT using a modified body grafted to a P1 GTR.

After much teasing Lanzante finally revealed its McLaren P1 GT Conversion at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. The firm creates a longtail bodywork to give the car a sleeker look. It is based on the P1 GT. The special design was allegedly ordered by a wealthy Middle East customer.

Lanzante’s modifications include modifications such as a front end with a larger splitter than the GTR standard. Ventilated fenders are also added to the vehicle. The company adds a longer tail to the rear and bolts a huge fixed rear wing at the back. A tweaked lower diffuser features quad exhaust outlets.

The P1 GT’s interior is ready to go on the road. Although the fixed-back sport seats may not be comfortable, the cabin has at least some upholstery that isn’t on the GTR.

Lanzante has not yet provided any information about the P1 GT’s powertrain. The company could replace the GTR’s stock biturbo V8 of 3.8-liters with hybrid assistance. This would give the new machine 986 horsepower (735.5kilowatts), which should provide plenty of power. Lanzante’s Inconel exhaust parts from its P1 LM will help reduce weight.

McLaren F1 GT is the inspiration for the P1 GT. Although the model was a road-going variant of the F1 GTR Longtail racecar, only three examples were built by the company.

Lanzante has a great deal of experience with McLarens and knows how to make them perform at a level that is comparable to what the factory can do. Lanzante has been converting the P1 GTR, which was previously only track-only, to a road-legal model. The P1 LM is also the ultimate example of what a hypercar could look like.
