It’s not an expensive accessory for the car.
In the supercar world, money seems to be irrelevant. This does not mean that the wealthy are content to live a life of luxury and travel the country. This means that price doesn’t matter. Thousands or tens and thousands of dollars are just a drop in the financial bucket. Manny Khoshbin, a businessman, describes his McLaren Senna with a livery that is heavily inspired by Ayrton Senna’s Marlboro M4/4. McLaren has built 500 Senna supercars, with each one costing nearly $1 million. Khoshbin added $250,000 more options to the car, including a $7000 water bottle.
Khoshbin takes the carbon-fiber water bottle in the video from between the seats. It looks just like the everyday water bottle that you would buy at your local big-box retailer. It costs $7,000. But there’s more to it. He flips the water bottle upside down, then places it in a carbon fiber cradle. Khoshbin can use the cradle to squirt any beverage of his choice into his mouth by using a hose or a push-to-drink motor. This is a feature that’s straight out of racing cars.
The Senna water bottle isn’t the most expensive. Khoshbin used as much carbon fibre as possible, including the roof scoop and roof, which cost him between $60,000 and $70,000. The car’s most striking feature is its livery. It includes the number 12 on the rearfenders. This is taken from Ayrton’s car. These two numbers, which were painted on, alone cost $30,000.
Khoshbin’s Senna is stunning. It’s a true race car for the road, with painted numbers and F1-inspired livery. This car is an engineering masterpiece. It is beautiful to admire and honors one of Formula 1’s greatest racers.
