The Senna is a fast-moving swarm of Sennas in the Nordschleife.
A lap around the Nordschleife Nurburgring Nordschleife will be a memorable experience for any petrolhead. A full-send lap around Green Hell in a McLaren Senna, however, is quite different. Misha Charoudin, YouTuber and Nurburgring Rosetta Stone, rides in the McLaren Senna’s passenger seat for a few flat-out laps.
The Senna is a wild ride around the famous racetrack. Although the McLaren’s twin turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 is capable of producing 789 horsepower (588kW), it’s not a total monster. British automaker McLaren has used downforce and superhero systems to keep the car on the track. It is quite a different experience to see how the Senna and the P1 tackle racetracks.
Even with all the technology, it’s clear that a great driver is still required to get the most out of the car at the track. Although we don’t know how hard the car was being driven, there was evident commitment. One of the most notable corners, miss–hit-miss showed that the driver had the grip to position the car exactly where he wanted it.
This video does a fantastic job of showing just how wild touristenfahrten can be. The track is available as a toll-road for paying customers during these sessions. It is open to anyone, so there will be slower cars who must yield to the ones ahead. There was plenty of traffic, with the Senna being most likely the fastest car on the track.
The rain started to pour towards the end of this video, and the pair were forced to slow down in order to keep their car intact. Misha said that the Pirelli Trofeo-R tires are excellent in dry conditions and are good friends for fair-weather.
We’d love to see Misha behind the wheel of the Senna, so let us know what you think in the comments.
