McLaren Teases Vertical Exit Exhausts for Upcoming Mystery Model

We have a second chance to see this mysterious machine and it is looking even more intriguing.

McLaren has released a teaser video for its mystery model. The evidence suggests that the may be a 570LT. On June 28, the online unveiling will be completed and the mystery of the vehicle’s identity will be solved. The machine will be unveiled to the public at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, July. It will then drive up the famous hill climb.

The teaser shows two exhausts coming from the rear deck of the vehicle. There’s also a lot of carbon fiber used for the bodywork around the pipes. Below is a comparison of the tail of a standard or 570S.

Images so far suggest that the mystery vehicle is McLaren’s entry level Sport Series. The announcement that accompany the most recent photos promises that the model will benefit from “increased power, minimized weight and optimized aerodynamics and increased driver engagement.” McLaren also stated that they only plan to make a small number of these vehicles.

McLaren got his first glimpse at the model’s upcoming design in the teaser above. This image showed the model’s larger rear diffuser, and carbon fiber fascia. The image also revealed that the exhausts weren’t in the usual spot at the back corners.

McLaren may tune the existing 3.8-liter biturbo engine to produce more than 600 horsepower (447 kilowatts), according to rumours. According to MSO, the MSO division supplies components such as lighter wheels and a titanium exhaust. McLaren teases that a convertible version is in the works for topless motoring fans, but it has not been revealed by McLaren.
