Unless you are on a mission from the tall guy upstairs.
This question has plagued humanity since the dawn of time: Can I outrun a Hemi powered Dodge Charger cop vehicle on a rally course. We now know. Well, sort of.
The latest Episode of Team O’Neil Rally School put the Dodge cop car to the testing on its rally course. It did a remarkable time of 2:05.52. This is almost nine seconds faster than the time Team O’Neil Rally School pulled off a Subaru WRX!
This isn’t a comparison of apples and oranges. We would love to credit the 2013 Charger’s advantage to its powerful 370-horsepower V8 engine and cop car kit but the real secret to the car’s success is the period in which it was tested. Team O’Neil drove the Dodge sedan around the dirt track in summer, while the Subaru was bullied around the course during winter.
The rear-drive Charger is still a great car to drive around a rally track. The big Dodge’s record time on the dirt track is fast enough to make us reconsider losing a cop driving a Hemi powered Charger on a rally.
