The Sport models are “Engineered By AMG” and feature red accents, special badges, and black alloy wheels of 18 inches. A sport-tuned suspension, AMG speed-sensitive steering system, and a new exhaust system promise to make the cars more emotional.
Interior modifications are limited, but include red seat belts with Sport branding and floor mats.
A 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine produces 211 HP (155kW) and 350 Nm (258lb-ft). The engine is connected to a 7G DCT dual clutch transmission that can be paired with an optional all-wheel-drive system on the CLA.
Mercedes has introduced the CLA 180 CDI, an entry-level model that features a 1.5-liter (1146 cc) four cylinder diesel engine. It produces 109 HP (80kW) and 260Nm (191 lbft) of torque. The model can accelerate from 0 to 100 km in just 11.6 seconds, and reach a maximum speed of 205 km/h (127 MPH). Owners can expect an average of 3.9L/100km (67.3 mpg US/72.4 mpg UK) and CO2 emissions of only 102g/km.
