Mercedes A-Class Facelift Revealed Closer On Video, Inside and Out

Although it’s strange to see this from this side of the globe, it is possible.

Mercedes-Benz is continuing to test the smallest member in its range. We’ve seen prototypes in camouflage of the Mercedes A-Class in hatchback and sedan form since last year. This is a sign that an update is on the horizon.

While testing another partially wrapped prototype, he was caught on camera. As with the other prototypes, the rear and front fascias were not visible. However, that was not the most unusual part. The A-Class prototype captured by KimbelAuto (embedded below) was seen on US shores wearing a Michigan manufacturer’s plate.

This is what made it so odd. This is because of a report last year that Mercedes-Benz will retire the A-Class form its US lineup following the 2022 model year. The CLA-Class will be the American Merc’s entry-level model.

However, the prototype that was rolled on American soil does not align with the previous report. But neither confirms it.

This A-Class model is similar to the prototype that we saw on the other side. Although there are some concealments around the headlights we don’t expect any major changes, Most of the changes will be made to the bumper to keep it fresh. The new mesh grille will be available on non-AMG models.

At the rear, the story is the same. The bumper may get a new diffuser, and the taillights could have new graphics. This will depend on what trim level you choose.

The A-Class will get a new console inside to house the most recent MBUX infotainment suite. Although the changes to the design are minimal, they will be reflected in the engine options updates. However, things could change upon its launch.

Mercedes-Benz has not yet announced the exact date for the refreshed A-Class. However, we predict it will launch sometime in the current year to coincide with the 2023 model year.
