Mercedes, please make this car.
Here’s the deal. Mercedes-Benz has a sedan and a hatchback versions of its entry-level . AMG has its engineers in A-Class, but you can only purchase the high-performance model as a hatchback. We were actually given the official word about the 2019 Mercedes AMG A35 five door, which comes with all-wheel drive, 302 horsepower (225kilowatts), and a turbocharged four-cylinder 2.0-liter engine. Mercedes claims it can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 miles per hour) in 4.7 seconds. This makes it a strong contender in the subcompact hot-hat segment.
What about those who are looking for a subcompact sedan made by the Affalterbach skunkworks? We’ll be looking at this Kleber Silva rendering at Behance.net while we wait for a tiny AMG sedan. We are aware that Silva calls this work an AMG A45. However, this rendering is based entirely on the A35 photos Mercedes released recently, down to the number plate. The photos below show the sedan rendering, followed by the official hatchback photos.
This doesn’t mean that we don’t like the effort – in fact, love every detail of this sedan rendering. The above comparison shows how amazing the renders are. We would have believed these photos if someone sent them. The sedan also gets rid of the hatchback’s big boy-racer wings. The A35’s sedan has a more refined look than the hatchback, but that’s not to say there is anything wrong with boy-racer appeal. If we were young professionals going to the theater, we can guess which car would we choose.
This rendering is as real as it gets, front and back. Mercedes should reconsider the future of a high-powered A-Class sedan.
