A long roof C63 is in progress, but without a v8.
The new Mercedes-AMG C63 will be coming sooner than expected, particularly since the regular Mercedes C-Class made its debut earlier in the year. We have new spy photos to support this assumption.
Not to be confused, we have seen the C63 Estate prototype before in the Scandinavian region.Cold weather tests The hot wagon was seen being tested near the Nurburgring this time The camouflaged tester comes with mismatched wheels. One pair has a black Y-spoke and the other has a silver twin-spoke. This is likely to confuse spy photographers who are trying to capture every detail. Mercedes could not hide the aggressive styling on the bumpers, and the Panamericana grille.
Although the majority of the updates to the AMG C63 Estate’s design aren’t significant, we know there will be major changes inside the bonnet.
C-Class chief engineer Christian Fruh confirmed in an interview that the C63 will no longer have the biturbo and instead use a hybrid setup with a four-pot-mill.
Later reports confirmed that the next AMG C63’s hybrid engine will produce 550 horsepower (410 Kilowatts) as well as 590 pound-feet (801 Newton-meters of torque), which makes it slightly more powerful than its predecessor, the C63 S. This, however, comes at the cost of a heavier body.
These details are not officially confirmed, but they will be by the time that the new C63 lineup is revealed at the end of the year. Both the C63 Estate and C63 Estate seen here are expected to be in showrooms by 2022.
