It is available with up to 416 horsepower but will not land on American shores.

Mercedes AMG is in excellent condition. The Mercedes-AMG A45 as well as the CLA45 were revealed by Affalterbach. Another novelty, the Mercedes-AMG CLA45 Shooting Brake, is now available. The second-generation CLA model is a more family-oriented version. And it turns heads. It will be a limited edition for European markets.

Birds of a Feather

Mercedes-AMG isn’t trying to compromise performance in order to be more practical. The Shooting Brake’s new design is all about sport and more sport. The world’s most powerful four-cylinder gasoline motor is proof of this. It’s the same M139 engine that powers the A45 and CLA. You can get it in two flavors: 387 horsepower (290 kilowatts) and 416 HP (310 kW), for the CLA 45S.

A robotic double-clutch gearbox has eight gears and transmits the power to all four wheels. This is known as 4MATIC+ to Mercedes-Benz customers. The new CLA 45 Shooting Brake can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h (0-60 mph) in 4.1 seconds. It is 4.0 seconds slower for the S model. The top speed electronically limits the vehicle to 250 km/h (155mph), or 270 km/h (161 mph for the S). This roof is long enough to get the kids to school. You can even have some fun with the drift mode on your way back from dropping them off.

Although the performance is impressive, the Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 Shoting Brake’s design is also exceptional. From the wheels and Panamericana grille, to the exhaust cutouts, the same styling elements are found on the “coupe” model are present here. The estate’s rearside has more mass than the CLA shape. The interior is also not bad. It is a bit bulky due to its square-ish proportions, rectangular digital displays and sloping interior but it is still a great place to stay for short or long travels. The extra space in the back makes it ideal for extended holidays.
