Mercedes-AMG CLS63 CLS 63 with 732 HP at 204 MPH Is For Wagon Enthusiasts
Supersonic load-lugger

There are many wagon lovers out there. There will always be people who want it, regardless of whether it is powered by a turbodiesel engine or a V8. Although this body style is not popular, its loyal fans will keep it up for longer.

There are also those who want their stationwagons to scare sports cars. It’s a niche market with loyal customers, even though it’s small. These load luggers are also made by automakers in high-performance versions. Take a look at both the Audi RS6 and the BMW M3 Touring.

This brings us to Mercedes-Benz, or Mercedes-AMG, another German automaker. North America was left out of the CLS 63 S Shooting Brake, which featured a 5.5-liter BiTurbo V8 and a sleek but practical body. It’s a rare car in Europe, even so. It’s a rare occasion to see one, but a tuned one should be something special. Enter Pogea Racing.

Pogea Racing, a German company, took one of the rare Shooting Brakes and made it more powerful. The twin-turbo V8 produced 577 horsepower (430 Kilowatts) as well as 590 pound feet (800 Newton-meters). The final result of Pogea Racing’s tuning and tweaking is 732 horsepower (546 Kilowatts) & 822 poundfeet (1.114 Newton-meters). The factory-installed 4Matic all-wheel driving system puts all of the power on the road.

What are the performance figures? Although Pogea did not release any figures on 0-60 mph acceleration, it is safe to assume that it can beat the factory’s claim of 3.5 seconds. The tuning company did however take the car for a top speed test. GPS verified the car was able to travel at 204.4 mph or 329 km/h according to metrics. Pogea claims their KW suspension keeps it planted, stable and comfortable at 186 mph (329 km/h). While there are faster cars, it is not impossible to find a wagon capable of breaking the 200 mph barrier.
