Mercedes-Benz will soon unveil a new-generation GLC Class. It will be equipped with mild hybrids as well as PHEVs, a natural progression in the age of electrification. Mercedes-Benz fans need to be aware of other new models.

As GLC nears its launch date, a new Mercedes-AMG E63 S Final Edition is now available. The Final Edition will also be the last AMG E-Class sedan or wagon that is powered by a V8.

The last V8-powered E-Class is called AMG E63S 4MATIC+ Final Edition. It comes with matte Graphite Gray Magno paint, 20-inch AMG forged tires with a cross-spoke design and a high-sheen black finish with gloss-tinted Clearcoat.

The Final Edition includes AMG emblems on both the C-pillars and foiling on the sides to further enhance the exclusivity. The AMG Night Package adds high-gloss black to several exterior elements.

Inside, the AMG Performance Seat Package High-End welcomes its owners. The seat is upholstered in AMG Nappa leather with a titanium grey pearl/black color and yellow contrast stitching. The AMG Performance steering wheels are wrapped in Nappa leather, Dinamica microfiber and have the yellow stitching.

Mercedes has added the “AMG FINAL EXEITION” label to the center console. This is in addition to the car’s limited 999-unit designation.

The Mercedes-AMG E63S 4MATIC+ Final Edition is a farewell to W/S 213 performance series. Both the sedan and wagon are equipped with the biturbo M177 V8 mill, which produces 604 horsepower (450kilowatts). In case you were wondering, they still have Drift mode.

Rumours suggest that the next W214 Mercedes E-Class will not have the V8 powertrain, even with AMG models. However, this is not confirmed. But, it is believed that the eight-cylinder mills have been approved after internal discussions. The Final Edition is your last chance to purchase a V8 powered AMG E63S.

We discovered last year that the Mercedes V8 had been removed from the Mercedes lineup because of quality issues. Philipp Scheimer, AMG boss, stated that the V8 would remain for 10 more years in different forms.
