These are believed to be the 53 and the 63 versions of the upcoming coupe.

The new Mercedes-AMG GT Coupe is now available. This gives us a glimpse at two versions of the grand tourer. They are the GT 53 or GT 63 variants, according to our spy.

Both vehicles have the same camouflage. Only difference between the two vehicles is the yellow roof on the GT 53 and the white top on the GT 63.

The GT 53’s wheels have five pairs of spokes along its sides. The GT 63’s wheels are black with five pairs of spokes. Both models have large brake discs with gold calipers.

The GT 53’s back has two exhaust outlets that are circular on either side of the diffuser. These exhaust pipes are replaced by trapezoidal-shaped finishers in the GT 63. The design of both models is identical.

The AMG GT Coupe shares a platform and the new SL-Class. Gorden Wagener, Mercedes design chief, told Road & Track last summer that the company was preparing for differentiation between the two models. The SL was designed to be a luxury roadster that can be used for a luxurious, comfortable cruise. Buyers looking for a sportier driving style were able to choose the GT Coupe.

Because the coupe has a fixed roof instead of the soft-top power-operated roadster, it will probably weigh less than the new SL. Although we don’t have any photos yet of the interior, rumors suggest that the coupe will be a pure 2-seater rather than the convertible’s 2+2 configuration. The coupe should lose a few pounds with this change.

The GT Coupe will be powered by twin-turbo V8 engines of 4.0 liters. These powerplants can be found in 469 horsepower (350 kilowatts), and 577 horsepower (430 kW) tunings . We know from spy shots that Mercedes is working on a plug-in hybrid version SL. It’s possible that this option could also be available in the coupe. This variant could produce 800 horsepower (597 kW).

The GT Coupe will debut sometime in the next year, according to our expectations. Mercedes hasn’t revealed the exact time of the debut, but they are revealing that it is in the works.
