Tuner-prescribed steroids give the “Beast of the Green Hell” some serious punch.
Tuners are available to satisfy your need for a more powerful coupe, born in Affalterbach. A variety of tuners have joined forces to make the AMG model stand out from the GT.
First, we added a widerbody kit to give the machine wider hips. Prior Design provided the aftermarket package. This includes aero bits like the rear and front flicks, and the diffuser at the back. AMG GT coupe enthusiasts will be aware that the front grille is not stock. The “Beast of the Green Hell”, a blacked out setup, reminds of the Panamericana grille.
This is not standard Mercedes paint. It’s a full-body Malachite Green vinyl wrap. 50 rolls were made specifically for Europe. The striking yellow accents at the rear and front, as well as the side skirts, contrast nicely with the green. The 20-inch alloys from ADV.1 Wheels complete the exterior changes. They are complemented by matching tires, KW coil springs, and H&R wheel spacers.
Modifications to the underside of the car are essential in order to make the twin-turbo, 4.0-liter V8 more powerful. Although the AMG engine generates 469 horsepower in base GT, and 577 horsepower in the GTR, multiple upgrades have raised the output to 650 HP. The torque is significantly higher, going from 516 pound-feet (700 Newton meters) in the R to a mountain-moving 5,90 lbft (800 Nm).
Fostla, a German company, put together this Mercedes-AMG GT R collection of aftermarket accessories and we dare say that they did a fantastic job.
