What power can this tuner extract out of AMG’s V8 engine? 690 hp.
The twelve-cylinder S65 , Maybach S650, and 12 cylinder are the most powerful Mercedes models you can buy. But, not if VATH has some thoughts. Aftermarket experts took the in coupe and cabriolet forms and modified it with their biturbo-4.0-liter V8 engine to get an insane amount of power.
The AMG engine is no longer capable of producing the 503 horsepower available in the S specification. VATH has upgraded the V8 to 690 HP. The tuner’s V63RS package, which will cost you EUR12,800 (roughly $15,900) and includes a massive 187-hp increase, is available without value added tax. The package includes a new turbocharger setup, downpipe, and an upgraded oil cooler for both the engine and the automatic seven-speed transmission.
This horsepower boost is complemented with a massive torque increase from the 516 pound-feet (706 Newton-meters) to 664 Lb-ft (904 Nm). The C63 S can go from 0 to 60 mph (100 km/h) in 3.3 seconds thanks to its newly acquired V8 power. This is six tenths faster than the regular coupe. Maximum speed? The top speed is 211 mph (340 km/h), while the C63 S with optional AMG Driver’s Package can only go 180 mph (295 kph). This electronic limiter prevents the C63 S from exceeding 211 mph (334 kph).
VATH did not stop there. It also created a custom exhaust system that delivers “its own sound” for EUR3,440 ($4,300). For EUR3,900 ($4,800), larger 390-mm brakes and a suspension lowering package to bring the car closer to the road for EUR690 ($850), The lighter 20-inch wheels require an attachment kit, which will cost extra.
The interior images have not been shown, but VATH can set the speedometer at 360 kph (224 MPH) to keep up the car’s increased speed for EUR2,130 ($2,600), which includes mounting. The package includes Velour heavy-duty flooring mats.
