The Autobahn will continue to exist, along with its sections unrestricted.
In the past, supercars could reach speeds of 0-60 mph (100 km/h), but even heavy sedans can now match the Ferrari 488 GTB’s acceleration. This is not an ordinary sedan. It’s a Mercedes AMG E63 S with a modified twin-turbo, 4.0-liter V8 engine.
The eight-cylinder engine produces a healthy 603 horsepower in stock form. However, the car’s owner wanted more. The modified E63S now has 788 horsepower, which is 185 more than it had when it was brand new. Is it a wrap or lime paint? The high-performance e dan was taken to an unrestricted section on Germany’s magnificent Autobahn by AutoTopNL in order to show its newfound grunt.
The upgraded E63 S took just 3.06 seconds to reach 62 mph (100 km/h), despite the fact that it was on a wet road. This makes it nearly 0.4 seconds faster than the standard sedan. It ran the 62mph to 124mph (100 km/h-200 km/h) distance in 6.66 seconds. Perhaps even more impressive was the car’s performance. The 0-124 mph (0–200 km/h), was completed in a staggering 9.72 seconds, and the quarter-mile took 10.67 seconds.
The vehicle reached speeds of 191 mph (307 km/h), and it was able to reach even higher speeds in sixth gear. There were two more gears available. This is a pretty good result for a car that weighs in at 4,515 pounds (2.047 kilograms) according to U.S. specifications.
Mercedes will give E63 a makeover later in the year. However, it remains to see if there are any changes under the hood that will allow for even greater performance. You can get something even more crazy with four doors by upgrading to the AMG GT73 hybrid, which has approximately 800 electrified horses.
