This is more than 300 km per hour!
The Mercedes AMG E63 S is definitely the fastest production car on the market today, outside of the supercar category. Although we are still waiting to see a comparison with the new BMW, we know that the most powerful E is surprisingly fast. Its Estate model is the fastest wagon on the Nurburgring circuit in Germany. It’s also faster than a Dacia Logan…
We’ve seen the E63 S drag racing against some fast cars like the Audi RS6 Power, BMW M760Li and Tesla Model S P100D. Now it’s time for us to find out the car’s top speed. Germany’s Autobahn is the perfect place to get the pedal to the bone, a true paradise for car enthusiasts.
The AutoTopNL team has released a new video that shows the E63 S’s true capabilities. They are experts in driving fast cars straight. This vehicle can comfortably carry up to five people and has a top speed of 190 mph (307 km/h).
For comparison, the E63 Estate reached 167 mph on Schwedenkreuz (270 kph on Schwedenkreuz) and possibly a little more down Dottinger Hohe. However, this cannot be confirmed.
This is possible thanks to the powerful 4.0-liter V8 biturbo motor under the hood. It sends 603 horsepower (449kilowatts), to all four wheels via a quick-shifting 9-speed automatic and a 4Matic All-Wheel Drive system. The acceleration from 0-60 miles per an hour (0-98 km/h) takes just 3.4 seconds, and the top speed electronically limited to 180 mph (295 kph).
The best thing about E63 S is its versatility. The E63 S is available in sedan and wagon versions in the United States.
