It will receive tweaked fascias, but not much else.
Mercedes unveiled the third-generation B-Class late 2018, in time for the 2019 model year. It will be four years old by 2022. However, it should look new for 2023. The Mercedes hatchback will be getting a mid-cycle update, but the styling won’t change. New spy photos show the B-Class MPV updated in camouflage, concealing a few styling tweaks.
The B-Class will get a revised front-end design with a mesh insert in the grille. The sensors for the various driver-assist system’s sensors are located in the black circle. However, the Mercedes logo will cover this area on the production model. Mercedes camouflaged parts of the headlights to suggest that the model will receive tweaked lighting signatures. Camouflage makes it seem that Mercedes will also tweak the front bumper.
The rear is quieter, with two thin strips covering the bumper and taillights in camouflage. Mercedes will modify the internals of the lights while Mercedes massages the bumper to a new shape. Although there are no interior photos, what we can see in the exterior images does not reveal any significant changes. The large screen above the dash is still visible. It sits over three air vents. However, the model will be equipped with the latest infotainment system from the brand.
Mercedes’ small car lineup will be able to take advantage of the B-Class’ midcycle redesign. The styling changes will be incorporated into the B-Class and LLB. Although we don’t know much about the powertrain, customers can expect that the current generation of engines will be maintained. Mercedes may make some tweaks to improve performance and fuel economy but you shouldn’t expect huge gains until the model is released.
Mercedes has not yet revealed when the new B-Class will be revealed, but we anticipate the company to unveil the redesign model later in the year. The new B-Class will be available for purchase in the model year 2023. The A-Class is expected to debut in 2022. Mercedes offers a wide range of products to stay relevant in a world that is becoming increasingly competitive. This includes smaller models.
