Mercedes-Benz has created a design study for a 2025 G-Class in civilian and police versions.
This was developed for the L.A. The Ener-G-Force SUV was designed for the 2012 Auto Show Design Challenge. It is an environmentally-friendly SUV that can reach all places quickly and reliably with alternative energy sources. The small windows were created to make the police vehicle safe for officers who are in danger. However, the large wheels allow it to travel on all types of roads.
The G-Class is also used in the civilian version. It comes with an attractive radiator grille and LED headlamps. As a reminder of its G Class roots, the front indicators and position lights are located at the top of each wings.
The Ener-G-Force has the ability to store water from the roof in tanks. This water is then transferred to the hydro-tech converter for the conversion of natural and renewable resources into the hydrogen needed for fuel cells. The storage units on the sides skirts are used to store electricity generated in this process. They can be used for approximately 800 km (497 mi) of range.
