Mercedes offers two options for the eSprinter’s battery: 41 kWh or 55 kilowatt hours. The larger option has a range of 104.4 miles (168 km) and a maximum payload of 1,964 pounds (891 kgs). While the smaller option reduces driving distance to 71.5 mi (115 km), it can carry up to 2,304 lb (1,045 kg) of payload. Electric powertrains offer the same interior cargo capacity than combustion-powered models, so users can load up to 370.8 cubic feet (10.5 cumeters) of space.

The eSprinter’s electric motor produces 114 horsepower (85 kilowatts) as well as 218 pound-feet (295 Newton meters) of torque. It is front-wheel-drive. Mercedes targets this model at commercial fleet managers. The company allows buyers to choose whether the top speed is 50 mph (80 km/h), 62mph (100 km/h) or 75mph (120 kph).

Drivers can choose from four levels or regenerative brake to maximize their range. These settings vary from very little recovery to more aggressive settings. Multiple driving modes can also increase efficiency. Climate control can be adjusted to use less energy.

Mercedes offers potential buyers tools to help them decide whether the eSprinter is right for them. These tools allow you to look at your daily journeys and determine if an EV can save you money. You can also use the service to calculate the charging requirements for your company, depending on how many electric cars you plan to purchase.
