This refreshed model won’t be available for sale for several years.
The small Mercedes-Benz GLA–CLass crossover will be getting a facelift. These spy photos allow us to see the new front and rear. These photos were taken near Stuttgart, Germany’s automaker.
This one seems to have new headlights that are more complex than the current . The grille is more trapezoidal in shape, with the top portion being longer than the bottom. The existing design, however, is more oval. The logo at the center appears to double as a sensor that controls a driver-assistance device.
This GLA-Class’s lower fascia has a trapezoidal opening. Based on the model we have, it is clear that the actual design of the GLA-Class is more complicated and allows for styling elements or fog lights to be placed in the corners.
The camouflage covers only the taillights at the rear. They may have different graphics, but the same shape.
These photos give only a glimpse into the interior of the cabin. Interior changes are still a mystery. Based on other Mercedes refreshes it is possible to update the infotainment system.
It’s not yet clear if Mercedes will make powertrain changes in order to match this styling update.
The GLA was first introduced in 2020, as a 2021 model-year product. It’s not surprising that the automaker is developing a new version. We might not see the debut of this product anytime soon. Our spy predicts a 2024 debut for a product worth 2025MY.
Another spy shot shows Mercedes working on the EQA and EQB, which are fully electric versions of the GLA/GLB Class. After a delay caused by the coronavirus pandemic, they are now arriving. They both have closed grilles because EVs do not require the same cooling as ICE vehicles. They have different headlights to the combustion-powered versions.
