Although the current GLA-Class is relatively new, the crossover is seeing some minor improvements.
The Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class has just been released for the 2021 model year. A slight refresh is already in the works. These spy shots show the example wearing minimal camo.
Strangely, however, Last refreshed GLA-Class that we saw The grille in the gallery below had a different design than this one. The opening on this vehicle was more trapezoidal in shape. The rear bumper garnish surrounding the taillights was missing the metallic surround seen in the most recent photos. This could be because we may be looking at different trims of the upcoming model.
The GLA-Class remains the same from the sides. Mercedes may offer different wheel designs, but we can’t rule it out.
The only camouflage strip that stretches the width of the rear is the one at the back. Although it’s difficult to see if there have been any changes in the shape of the headlights or the arrangement of the lamps within them, it is easy to tell.
The GLA-Class might make small changes to the cabin if it follows the changes that we see to the A-Class. Revisions such as a new steering wheel or infotainment screen frame may be possible. It should also run the most recent MBUX software.
Powertrain changes remain a mystery. GLA-Class owners have a wide range of options depending on their market. There are three models: the standard model, the high-performance AMG variants and the plug in hybrid. The EQA fully-electric crossover is also available.
According to Mercedes, the United States will cease production of the A-Class and CLA-Class in 2022. The GLA is now the country’s entry-level product. According to the automaker, they want to go upmarket. This plan doesn’t allow for three small models that share the same platform and use the same powertrains.
Mercedes is reportedly working on models that are smaller than its compact offerings. These would include a small hatchback and crossover. They might both be EVs.
