Mercedes CLA Shooting Brake Realistically Rendered

Are you hot or not?

The new Mercedes CLA Class has a number of improvements over its predecessor. The CLA Shooting Brake is missing from the lineup of fastback sedans/four-door coupes revealed at the 2019 Consumer Electronics Show. You don’t need to be concerned about it arriving, Mercedes will undoubtedly launch a CLA Shooting Brake soon; many spy photos were released last year and it’s only a matter time before the German marque launches the long-roof version worldwide.

XTomiDesign created a realistic rendering on the CLA Shooting Brake based off the CLA sedan in black with orange accents. Here is a side-byside comparison.

We couldn’t help but notice the cleverness of X-Tomi Design when we saw the new render. It is easy to mistakenly believe that this is the real thing we are looking at. It is a shame it doesn’t have a rear shot render. Most of the changes in 2020 CLA Shooting Brake can be found at the rear fascia.

According to spy shots taken last year, the CLA Shooting Brake will feature a two-piece taillight arrangement that extends onto its tailgate. This is in contrast to the previous one which had a single-piece cluster that ended at the door sill. As the bumper will now be the license plate, it is located lower in the fascia.

After the upsizing and reorganization of other Mercedes cars, such as the new A-Class, the next CLA Shooting Brake will be larger and more spacious than the one before it. To align with the entire Mercedes range, its new MBUX infotainment software would likely be added to its dashboard.
