A more powerful diesel engine complements the beefy appearance.
The V12-powered G Class will not be the only Brabus new to the Frankfurt Motor Show this Month. A version that is off-road-ready of the iconic SUV will join the luxury fortress with 888 horsepower. The more versatile G, which is equipped with the Adventure Package without the portal axles, acts as a tuner’s version of the G Class 4×4 HTML2. It is taller than the regular version, and it has a wider body kit that gives it a more intimidating appearance.
The G350d is the basis of the showcar that will be heading to IAA. Brabus It will offer upgrades for all W463 models. The diesel’s inline-six 3.0-liter engine is now capable of producing 44 horsepower and 44 poundfeet (60 Newton meters), and has been upgraded to 326 HP and 509 Lb-ft (690Nm). The SUV can reach 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 7.2 seconds from a standing stop and then accelerate to 126 mph (220 kph). This may not seem like much, but it is. G-Class It weighs in at 2,376 kg (5,238 lbs). The package’s “adventure” section refers to the height-adjustable suspension that raises the Mercedes SUV up to 40 millimeters (1.6 in) to provide extra ground clearance for those who might be faced with difficult terrain. The wind deflector, located above the windshield and containing four LED auxiliary lights for night illumination, can be used to tell that this is not an ordinary G-Wagen. The SUV’s large roof rack, which runs from front to rear, makes it even more practical. Also, the winch is flanked with beefy air intakes.
The G’s back has seen some changes with the carbon fiber spare wheel cover. A ladder is located to the right of the G to allow the driver and passengers to place their luggage on the SUV roof. The G-Class is 10 cm (or four inches) wider than the standard G350d. It also has 20-inch wheels with 285/55 R20 offroad tires. This gives it a more intimidating look. Starting tomorrow, the Mercedes G-Class equipped in the Adventure Package will be displayed at IAA in Frankfurt on the Brabus stand.
