It looks like a friendly taunt but it’s cool nonetheless.
Audi issued a call for action on March 28, 2020 to its followers and fans around the world to submit artworks (either images or videos) that represent the four rings of the brand. It was called the Four Rings Challenge and came with a hashtag.
Audi complied with the request and posted the images and videos to its Facebook page. You can see them below.
It seems that Audi enthusiasts weren’t the only ones who took part in the challenge. Mercedes-Benz also took on the challenge and posted its own Four Rings Challenge via its Facebook Page, April 9, 2020.
The Stuttgart response wasn’t just a simple artwork. Mercedes posted a video of a AMG making four donuts. You can see it on the video above.
Mercedes posted a photo on social media with the caption “Hey Audi! #FourRingsChallenge Accepted!” We are all united in our passion so here is our creative contribution. @Audi, we hope that you enjoy the final result. Please show us your handwriting.
Mercedes’ reply sounded like a friendly teasing, and we are eager to see Audi’s response to Stuttgart’s call to action. We are certain that Audi headquarters saw this video already and may have smiled a little.
Audi will never reply. We will see. But for now, it is refreshing to see these brands engage in friendly competition amid the global coronavirus crise – something that can lighten their moods among their followers and fans.
