Mercedes-Maybach Pullman gets a New Grille and More V12 Power

Half a million euro for 6.5m of S-Class luxury.

The 2019 Mercedes-Maybach S-Class may be a little too tight in the back for your liking. You can upgrade to the Pullman model. Basically the most expensive and luxurious Mercedes money can buy right now, the 6.5-meter sedan is being given a nip and tuck to mirror the changes its shorter-yet-still-very-long sibling has gone through.

According to Mercedes’ marketing team, the new grille features vertical struts inspired by a pinstriped suit. The Vision Mercedes Maybach 6 featured the new front fascia design, and we are now seeing it again on a production model.

The S Class is now riding on new 20-inch alloy wheels with the 10-hole design that was familiar to Maybach fans. The shorter version also offers two-tone paints. Deep-pocketed buyers have the option to choose from new colors such as magma, mahogany, and silk beige/deep blue inside the cabin.

Mercedes says that the mildly redesigned chauffeur-driven limousine still features two executive rear seats for VIP occupants, which offer the best legroom in its class. An electrically controlled partition can be used to give you privacy when needed. A “2-cabin sound” feature has been added to the audio system to allow for independent control of sound between the rear and front compartments.

The mighty 6.0-liter V12 engine has been re-tuned with two turbochargers. It now produces 630 horsepower (463 megawatts) as well as a nice figure of 1,000 Nm (737-lb-ft) of torque. The Mercedes-Maybach Pullman, which has now been elevated to “S650”, was given the badge. This is in contrast to the S600 predecessor’s 530 hp (390 kW), and 830 Nm (612 lb-ft) output.

We should mention that the upgraded Pullman can reach speeds of 62 mph (100 km/h) in just six and a quarter seconds. equally important is fuel consumption. The thirsty V12 requires 14.6 liters/100 km (16 miles per gallon) for the combined cycle.

The 2019 Mercedes-Maybach Pullman is available for order beginning today. It costs approximately EUR500,000, or $618,400, at current exchange rates. A guarded Guard version will be available shortly. This is due to the price differences between S600-based models.
