The deal is valid through January 4.
You’re not too late if you are looking for a last-minute gift for Christmas. Late shoppers who have a lot of cash can get a great deal on the flagship Mercedes-Benz sedan. 10% discount on AMG and Maybach models is also available. This may not be an easy deal, but it is possible.
According to Cars Direct Mercedes-Benz wants to get rid the old S-Class generation, before new models arrive in dealerships. The automaker will give dealers $10,000 in cash but there is a catch. The deal is not advertised and dealers do not have to offer the full rebate. Dealers have an incentive to lower the price of the current S-Class in anticipation of the arrival the next-generation.
However, the S-Class isn’t going to suddenly become affordable for everyone if it gets a $10,000 discount. The big luxury sedan, which starts at $94,250 is not something you would consider impulse-buying. The AMG 63 sedan could also be eligible for the deal, but at $151,600 as the starting MSRP, it’s only a six percent discount. The Maybach SClass starts at $173,000.
If you have a tight budget and are looking for an S-Class, this may be your last chance. The base MSRP of the 2021 models will be significantly higher than the outgoing model and land just shy $110,000. The S-Class is more technologically advanced than the 2021 model, but the $10,000 discount means that you could save $25,000 on a 2020 S-Class. This is enough to buy a new Merc, and nearly enough to purchase a new A-Class.
The deal for $10,000 will be valid until January 4. You may be eligible for different discounts depending on where you live.
