The fourth installment of The Matrix franchise features the G550 stars.

After an 18-year absence, Neo and Trinity are now back in The Matrix Revolutions after an 18-year hiatus. The movie’s highly anticipated US premiere was held last weekend at San Francisco’s Castro Theatre. Mercedes brought a huge red pill that contained an AMG G63 inside. It measured approximately 12 meters (37.3 feet) in length, 4 meters (13.1 feet wide) and 3.5 meters (11.4 foot tall), which was more than enough space to house the off-roader.

If you haven’t already figured it out, the iconic SUV is featured in The Matrix fourth installment. However, it’s a lesser G550than the AMG in selenite gray displayed in front the historic building. The three-pointed star hints that the G is featured in a fast-paced chase with rebels to help the pair escape the Matrix.

Mercedes has big plans for the G-Class. In addition to the usual mid-cycle facelift, Mercedes also announced a fully-electric derivative. The zero-emission SUV, likely to be named EQG after its namesake concept was unveiled in September at IAA Munich. It will go on sale in 2024. However, it will still retain the distinctive look of the conventionally powered model. The jacked up 4×4 HTML2 and its portal axles will be available soon.

The German luxury brand has also updated the civilian version. A new military-spec G was introduced by the German luxury brand in the form of a W464 that is specifically designed for government agencies and militaries, “for rescue or special operations”. Due to the use of an inline-six diesel engine rated at 245 horsepower and 443 lbft (600 Nm), the rugged G350d has 35% more horsepower and 50% more torque than its W461 counterpart, which is still available for purchase. The G350d is still based upon the W461 which was launched in 1992. However, it has more modern amenities, a eight percent fuel efficiency boost and a higher payload.
