The Second Edition model receives the slant back treatment.
Mil-Spec Automotive loves HumVee. The original H1 is the favorite of the company. It was a military all-terrain conqueror, but not so great for civilian life. The ride was horrible, the performance was poor, the fuel mileage was terrible and the accommodations for passengers were terrible. It was so badass, its core fans didn’t care.
Mil-Spec Automotive cares. We already got an introduction with their first vehicle, The Mil-Spec H1 Launch edition with the open-back. The ride was improved, the interior was made more luxurious, and the Duramax turbodiesel engine in the engine bay is now a 500-horsepower (373kW) Duramax turbodiesel. The company is currently working on its Second Edition H1, which features the slant-back design that allows for more interior space.
Details such as interior space or new seating arrangements, if they exist, are not yet available. Despite its size, the H1 has only four seats. This is the same as Mil-Spec’s version. Although renderings from the company do not reveal any interior changes for the Second Edition of the H1, this is a great opportunity to add passenger seating.
It does have the most options that Mil-Spec offered in its Launch Edition model series, as shown above. Therefore it should be able to benefit from the many upgrades we mentioned earlier. It’s also being made for a particular customer so it will get special attention to what the customer requests. It will likely be as black as the H1 and, if the teaser renders are correct, that’s what we would want for such a beast.
Mil-Spec informs us that a formal release of the Second Edition will take place in the coming weeks. We are eager to get all the details on this seriously dangerous SUV.
