Flying cars is therefore a bad idea.
Imagine you are at a graduation party, and you leave at around 1:30 in the morning with your teenage friend. Your white Chevrolet Malibu sedan suddenly becomes uncontrollable. You end up on top of a nearby home’s roof in a matter of seconds. Or, more accurately, you end up in the bedroom of a nearby house while a couple sleeps.
Although it may sound crazy, two teenage girls experienced this exact scenario while returning from graduation. Their Malibu apparently veered off the road and hit a tree before hitting the fence surrounding a Eureka, Missouri house. The fence somehow became a giant spring, and the car was launched “saucering through air end-over–end” and into the house.
Fortunately, nobody was injured in this accident. The two teens walked out of their car with minor injuries. The couple did not get hit directly by the car as it was parked about ten feet from the site where the Malibu crashed. Phew! The aftermath of the crash is shown in a video from local news channel FOX2 (attached at top of this page). a few steps from where the white sedan entered the home, the bed where the family was asleep is the one where they were actually sleeping. It’s amazing that no one was injured in the horrible crash.
Even though a small fire was started by the homeowners, it was quickly put out. The young driver and his passenger have not been charged and it is up to the insurance companies to clean up the mess.
