Mitsubishi E-Evolution Electric Performance SUV Revealed Looking Sharp

It is expected to debut in the coming year.

However, the Mitsubishi lineup currently lacks any performance vehicles that will get enthusiasts excited. But this could change quickly by adding a production version to the E-Evolution Concept. This rendering by Motor.es shows how the crossover could look.

The rendering of the production version is significantly more aggressive than the concept. At least the front end is similar with two-tiered headlights that are arrow-shaped and point inward towards the grille. E-Evolution Concept features a high-slung windshield, wraparound glass and suicide doors. It also has a floating roof, which gives it an extremely futuristic look. These elements are not visible in the production rendering. It is much more traditional. Although not as aggressive as the show car, the raked Cpillar is a strong cue. The interior of the electric crossover would be more traditional than the concept. Modern amenities such as a digital instrument cluster and large infotainment systems, and separate displays for the HVAC system would be found in the cabin.

According to Spyder7, the production version E-Evolution Concept will debut in 2021. It might also be available in certain markets that year. According to reports, each axle is powered by an electric motor. According to the battery pack, it would provide 311 miles (500 km) of range on a single charge. It will likely ride on the CMF-EV platform, which is also under the Nissan Ariya.

It is not clear if Mitsubishi will keep the E-Evolution name as an EV. Fans with more traditional tastes might not like the idea of using the Evolution name for an electric crossover when it is already well-known for its use on the Lancer or Pajero.
