Each car enthusiast probably has a history that goes back to playing Hot Wheels. Mattel’s scale-model cars have been an integral part of many children’s childhoods. Hot Wheels celebrates its 50th year anniversary this year. It has been 50 years since Mattel introduced toys in 1968.

Momo, a company that makes performance parts and accessories as well as the racing steering wheel, has created a birthday gift to celebrate this milestone. Hot Wheels 50th Anniversary Limited Edition Steering Wheel.

Hot Wheels 50th Anniversary Steering Wheel Edition is a collector’s edition of the Momo Prototipo steering wheel. Wrapped in real Alcantara, it is embellished with hand-stitched golden thread. The spokes of the steering wheels are laser-etched with the official Hot Wheels logo. The horn also features the Hot Wheels 50th anniversary logo. All items will be packaged in a commemorative case.

This year, the Momo x Hot Wheels partnership was launched. The Italian car parts manufacturer has been manufacturing a matching steering wheel for life-size Hot Wheels cars like Bone Shaker or Rip Rod. This combo has been serialized in 50 copies, but the collaboration decided to make the non-serialized version available as collector’s items due to popular demand.

Henrique Cisneros (chairman of MW Company) stated that MOMO recently celebrated its 50th anniversary. “We are incredibly proud that Hot Wheels has been able to commemorate 50 years of history and 50 years of inspiring fans from all ages.”
