Mopar’s 2019 Ram 2500 debuts in Chicago with a variety of upgrades

Mopar loaded the concept truck with more than 170 accessories so buyers could customize their Ram 2500.

The Mopar-modified 2019 Ram 2500 Heavy Duty Concept debuts at this year’s CES with a rugged swagger Chicago Auto Show. This truck showcases over 170 parts that are available aftermarket for the new pickup.

Mopar’s 2500 Heavy Duty is covered in the striking Blue Streak. Black trim on the grille and fender flares, badges and other parts provide a contrast. The pickup rides on 17-inch beadlock wheels. Rock rails protect the lower portion of the pickup from damage when it crashes off-road. A style bar is built into the bed with a bank LED lamps at its top and a spare tire carrier inside the cargo area.

The inside features brushed stainless steel door sill plates as well as all-weather floor mats. The roof-mounted LEDs are controlled by a bank of switches.

Mopar will also be introducing parts that aren’t included on the truck. Upgrades available to buyers include a trailer camera and fifth-wheel hitch

The 2019 Ram Heavy Duty was unveiled at the 2019 Detroit Auto Show. The headline-grabbing feature of the Cummins 6.7-liter turbodiesel is its ability to pull 1,000 pound-feet. This allows the truck to tow upto 35,100 pounds and has a payload capacity of 7,680-pounds. The new Ram is comfortable whether the owner uses its hauling capabilities. The interior features a 12-inch display for infotainment that can display up to two applications simultaneously.
