It’s not bad at all.
The trio of off-roading vehicles, the Mercedes-Benz GT-Class and Land Rover Defender as well as Mitsubishi Pajero is no longer a trio. The German SUV currently is on sale, and will soon be joined the new Defender. Where is the Pajero? It will be replaced by the Final Edition model in Japan in August, but it will continue to live through these fascinating renderings.
These photos were submitted by Motor1.com reader Enoch Gonzales. They propose a successor for today’s model in 2021. It may look a little cartoonish at first glance but if you pay attention, you will see that the details and proportions are perfect. The overall shape is reminiscent of the Pajero, but it has been slightly updated.
Here’s how the designer explained his front-end design idea: “In front it follows the current split-headlight design trend wherein the main headlight is placed below the LED DRLs. This one is a parody of this trend. While most manufacturers conceal the main headlight as an intake, or a fog lamp, I placed it above the wheel arch and gave the rectangular shape a bold, massive, and distinctive look that will make it seem like a headlight.
Say Goodbye to the Pajero
Our favorite part is the rear end. The rear end is simple and wide, but it reflects the rugged nature of the Pajero. The distinctive LED light signature makes the vehicle easily identifiable. A stylish quad exhaust system is integrated into the bumper and hints at the V8 engine under the hood. This vehicle could also be powered by an electrified motor.
All of this information will be kept in the virtual realm, unfortunately. Although Mitsubishi has not yet mentioned the possibility of reviving the Pajero, we can still hope for a successor. We won’t be disappointed if it looks like the SUV shown here.
