Motorsport Network Italy acquires GPOne.com

Motorsport Network Italy acquires GPOne.comIt is one of the most important motorcycle magazines in Italy to promote two-wheel editorial offerings.

London, 16 thApril 2021 – Motorsport Network Italy has increased its offerings to motorbike enthusiasts, and the industry, with the acquisition of GPOne.com. This publication is one of the most renowned in Italy.

This acquisition increases Motorsport Network’s motorbike influence on one of Europe’s largest markets. There is a strong fanbase and interest in this two-wheeled discipline. The Network collectively generates significant traffic to MotoGP, World Superbike, and other motorcycle content across Autosport.com and Motorsport.com. This includes the newly acquired GPOne.com.

The 30 years of experience that GPOne founder Paolo Scalera and his team bring to Motorsport Network’s 56 million monthly users will be a huge benefit. Scalera is still a minority shareholder, but he will continue to be the Director and Editor in chief of the publication. He has also joined the Motorsport Network team. GPOne will continue to have access to all the latest news from the ground thanks to Scalera’s long-standing expertise and strong relationships in the motorbike industry.

The acquisition of GPOne fits perfectly in Motorsport Network’s current growth strategy as it expands its offerings internationally – via localized editions pre-existing publications – and by making its content available to its users. These publications provide additional content, more information and entertainment to allow audiences to learn about different motorsport disciplines via the written medium.

However, the increase in Motorsport Network’s motorbike content won’t stop with these new publications. There are plans to increase offerings through Motorsport Network’s online ticketing platform MotorsportTickets.com as the world begins to open up after the pandemic and spectators want to return to the track.

Oliver Ciesla is the Chief Operation Officer of Motorsport Network. He said that Paolo Scalera and his entire staff are welcome to Motorsport Network. The co-operation with GPOne will allow our followers to benefit from the experience and expertise of a larger editorial team. Motorbike enthusiasts will have more content than ever before. We’ll also be able to share such content throughout our network, creating synergies. Advertising partners will enjoy an even greater reach among motorbike fans and drivers.

Filippo Salza is President Automotive at Motorsport Network. “The collaboration we have with GPOne.com is part of our strategy to reach more bikers and scooter riders. GPOne.com as well OmniMoto.it have provided excellent editorial motorcycle content and videos for their followers in the past. The newly merged team will continue writing about scooters and bikes as they have always done, but we’ll be bringing our content closer to a wider audience.

Paolo Scalera, Director and Founder, GPOne.com, said that GPOne.com was founded on the principle of being there for such emotions. After 20 years of independent publishing, I am now a global market leader with GPOne.com. This integration will allow us to grow faster, and will enable us to collaborate with our users to provide even better content.”
