That’s the highest price ever paid at auction for a Ford Mustang. This is a great deal for a car that was originally bought for $3,500.
It was believed that the original car used as the hero in the film was lost for many years. In 2018, the car was rediscovered just in time to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the movie’s th. Ford also launched an updated version of the Bullitt. Its story from Hollywood’s golden age is both charming and benign. The Mustang was the daily driver for Sean Kiernan’s parents.
McQueen tried many times to purchase the Kiernans’ car, but was rejected each time. It accumulated 46,000 miles over several years and was left parked until 1981, when it was finally resurrected.
